Please join the waitlist for enrolment consideration.

Brookville Kindergarten is a community kindergarten that offers high-quality early childhood education and care to families who reside in the City of Stonnington and the broader community. Located adjacent to Brookville Gardens and Toorak Primary School, is staffed by a team of qualified, experienced and passionate teachers and educators.

Full-day programs

We offer four kindergarten programs. These include two 3-year-old programs and two 4-year-old programs.

A strong focus on your child's development

With three educators per room, our staffing ratio far exceeds the recommended regulatory requirement which ensures that your child's interests and development are nurtured.

Beautiful & natural facilities

Our beautiful, open-spaced natural grounds and welcoming indoor spaces are designed specifically to enrich the learning possibilities for all children. In 2019, with a successful Government Grant, we completed a new refurbishment to the Yellow room yard and with the support of Stonnington Council our Green Room yard was re-landscaped. In 2024 we were successful with a Government Grant for a child safe airlock and new fence line and 2025 will see us complete a stage-by-stage development plan to redesign the Blue Room yard. We will also begin the process of changing our room names and refurbishing our indoors spaces. Rated an exceeding service by ACECQA, our commitment to our growth continues.

My son loves going to Brookville Kindergarten. When I observe him there, his eyes light up with curiosity and wonder. He comes home and tells me about all the bones in my body, how enormous the sun is and how to make words rhyme. Brookville Kindergarten has nurtured his spirit... His mind becomes alive.

Kate, mother of 3 boys

My son constantly surprises me with the interesting and thought-provoking experiences he has at kinder. He has also really flourished socially and I love watching his confidence grow every day.

Jade, mother

You learn how to respect the toys and the furniture.

What to expect at kindergarten, Milla, 3 years old

As a community kindergarten, Brookville is managed by parents - that means that you have an opportunity to be part of the Committee of Management and have a positive impact on the outcomes of your child’s education... And of course another benefit is the friendships you make along the way. My children aren’t the only ones who have made long-life friendships!

Amanda, mother of 2 and member of Committee of Management 2017

"You learn to pack up what you’re playing with.
I also know that we use our voice to solve problems."

What to expect at kindergarten, Noah, 4 years old

Both my girls have been through Brookville and loved it. It has been an ideal preparation for school, getting children into the same structure and hours and learning to be responsible for hats, jackets and other personal items. The transition for the eldest one to primary school was seamless... The teachers and management are professional with high-level and regular communication so that you know exactly what your children are learning.

Dee, mother of two
